Long time no skate

It's been a while since I don't skate. Today, public holiday in some parts of Spain (father's day) I went to Casa de Campo, a huge park in Madrid, and skated a little bit with Pipo and my friend Fer. Really nice happy shinny sunny day. I love the Spanish weather!

And, after some sport, we had some beers sitting under the sun and the I went home and cooked this sea bream, which, I've got to say, was delicious!

This long weekend (I also took friday off) I'm staying in Madrid, no special plan ahead. Well, my sister + Sebas + niece Vera are coming on friday, which is always nice. I was going to go to Andalucía my friend Tingting, but she had to cancel the trip because she, unexpectedly, has to work. So, I'm going to take the most of this four days and do some stuff at home. Last weeks have been completely nonstop (there are some peding posts about what happened lately) and I can say I have some homework to do.

Toma Jamón!

This picture was taken by Joyce, one our last CouchSurfers, in Toma Jamón, a tapas bar in La Latina (Madrid). Some other pictures of the place:

Don't miss it if you come to visit my city ;)

Chinese casino dinner

A Pekingese (Momo), a Hongkongese (Joyce) and a Taiwanese (Max) are cooking in my kitchen right now. This is how it looks like:

They are also baking a banana cake, yummy! I'll write soon how it was in the end ;) BTW, whenever you want to set up a homemade casino and need some poker chips, remember you can always use cucumbers:

The Script - The man who can't be moved

When a song gets into my head, I can not stop listening to it (singing usually comes in the same pack). In this case, I'm talking about a quite new "polytone song", cause it is constantly advertised on TV ads. Actually, there's where I heared it for the first time. I think I've listened to it more than 10 times today!

The band is Irish and some "visionaries" have already said that they will be the next U2. Of course, I disagree with them. It is way too soon to say so. So far, they sound to me pretty similar to Maroon 5. Not bad at all, because I really liked their first album "Songs About Jane" as well.

I searched for a subtitled version in youtube, but don't expect the lyrics to impress you. Just some romantic stuff, something I don't dislike from time to time :)

First 30th birthday present

I must admit I'm quite impresed coz just get my first birthday present from a Chinese CouchSurfer girl, Jingwei Lv, who is staying with us for some days: A 4x4x4 Rubik Cube!!

She chose this gift coz she like it, but I don't she knew I love these kind of games as well. I said 谢谢你 and then I showed her my other Rubik cube, the classic 3x3x3 one. Guess what... She knew how to solve it and couldn't resist to try...

And... yes! She did it! Here there are my cubes. I'll probably never see them again like this :)

BTW, any other gifts will be welcome. So, don't hesitate...

Good luck!

There's one thing that bothered me a lot when I was a student: Everytime I was going to have an exam, everybody was saying - good luck!

If my marks depend on how lucky I am, instead of University it should be called Lottery. So, if I took a exam ever again, please say to me: hope u don't need luck!
